TAMPA, Fla. -- A local mother is asking for the community's help to find her son.
His mother, Jahmila Shine, says she last saw him August 15 leaving their house in west Tampa to meet friends and go to school.
She wants Shine to know her family misses him.
"Whatever the case may be, if you're able or capable of coming home or contacting us to let you know you're OK, just do so," she said. "We just want you safe and sound. And if you know something about what's going on with my son, please let us know."
She has received a lot of community support, and one company donated billboard space with Michael’s picture.
Tampa police say that have three officers dedicated to the case.
